In the cold season, when the fan temperature control continues to open, the temperature difference in the chicken coop increases, the temperature required by the chicken coop can not be guaranteed normally, especially when the boiler heating is insufficient, the number of fans that continue to open can not meet the normal amount of ventilation required by the chicken coop, can not guarantee the uniform and effective ventilation of the chicken coop, especially in the middle row, can only take a regular cycle of intermittent ventilation, a one-time opening the number of ventilation fans required to protect the chicken house normal required On the basis of the normal required temperature of the chicken coop, the fan can be turned on regularly.
The advantage of regular ventilation is energy saving, better preservation of heat in the coop, a short time to complete the overall ventilation and air exchange in the coop, while the negative pressure and inlet air speed in the coop is relatively stable when the fan is running, and fresh air can better reach the middle of the chicken coop.
However, it should be noted that when circulating regular ventilation, for chicken coops with high cage frame and similar height of side wind windows and cage roof, (especially for chicken coops with automatic chickens, and chicken coops with flat breeding to cage breeding,) attention should be paid to the inertial wind speed formed when the fan is opened and closed on both sides near the small windows of the chickens, and the cage roof must be covered with insulation cloth to prevent the cold wind from falling directly onto the chickens. Should be based on the temperature inside and outside the chicken coop combined with the actual body temperature state of the chickens, timely and flexible adjustment.

The amount of ventilation required by the weight of broiler chickens of different ages is generally expressed as a percentage, that is, the percentage of the fan exhaust volume used.
For example, a flock of 21 days old, 30,000 chickens per coop, the weight of 1 kg / only, the outside temperature at about zero degrees, if the amount of ventilation required by each kilogram of body weight of broiler chickens at this time is calculated by 0.66 cubic meters / hour, if the fan exhaust volume used at this time is 39,000 cubic meters / hour (30,000 × 1 kg body weight × 0.66 units of air exchange ÷ 39,000 fan exhaust) can be calculated that the percentage of ventilation required for the chicken coop flock at this time is 50.7%. (The calculation of the minimum ventilation amount should be adjusted flexibly according to the outside temperature, combined with the actual ambient temperature and oxygen content in the house and the actual body temperature of the chickens.)
Finally, the cycle time executed by the fan to finally arrive at the fan on time, and stop time. (For example, when the fan performs 5 minutes, 5 minutes is converted into 300s × 50.7% = 152s fan opening time, then the fan stopping time is 148s)
